High and low temperature versions
The PRS module is available in two primary circuit variants. Models for high temperature systems (primary circuit above 60–65°C) incorporate a motorised 3-way mixing valve to prevent limescale deposits inside the exchanger. Low temperature versions are suitable for primary circuits operating below this threshold.
Three exchanger sizes
The PRS 4620 is recommended for high temperature systems; the PRS 7420 is preferred for low temperature applications; and the PRS 8031 is specified for high DHW demand. Minimum DHW flow rates apply: 0.60 m³/h (10 l/min) for the PRS 4620, 0.66 m³/h (11 l/min) for the PRS 7420, and 1.68 m³/h (28 l/min) for the PRS 8031.
Instantaneous or semi-instantaneous operation
The Juniper PRS can operate without accumulation for instantaneous DHW production, or with a DHW storage vessel for semi-instantaneous operation. When used with accumulation, the storage vessel acts as a buffer to meet peak demand, and smaller PRS modules may be appropriate. For accumulation configurations, a Juniper DHW storage vessel is recommended to complete the installation.
Single or double pump
Each module is available with either a single or double primary circuit pump. The double pump configuration provides backup through alternating operation, ensuring greater system redundancy and continuity of hot water supply.
